Stellar Blade director Hyung-Tae Kim identified Korean model Shin Jae-eun as the reference for Eve’s body. Kim said her body was scanned for the game, while Eve’s face was created in-house. That means Shin Jae-eun was not identified as Eve’s face model or as a complete digital copy of the character.
Who was Eve’s body model?
Shin Jae-eun was the body reference for Eve, according to director Hyung-Tae Kim. In a February 2024 interview with Push Square, Kim confirmed that Shift Up scanned her body for the game. He said the team considered her body shape a suitable reference for the character they were pursuing.

Kim described the choice as a design decision, not an objective measure of beauty. He said the team wanted what it considered an attractive body for players and chose to work with Shin Jae-eun on that basis.
Was Shin Jae-eun also Eve’s face model?
No. Kim said Eve’s face was created in-house and specified that it was the model’s body that the team scanned. The available statement distinguishes the body reference from the face; it does not identify Shin Jae-eun as the face model.

What does “body model” mean here?
The confirmed detail is that Shin Jae-eun’s body served as a reference and was scanned. Kim did not describe Eve as an unchanged digital copy, and the interview provides no measurements or quantified estimate of likeness. The most precise description is that her body informed Eve’s design.
Did Shin Jae-eun model Eve’s costumes?
Not according to the cited statements. In a separate Game Informer interview, Kim discussed scanning real clothes and having a real-life model wear certain outfits so the studio could capture details such as material pressure, folds and how fabric meets skin. He did not say that Shin Jae-eun wore those outfits, or that she modeled every costume.

How does Eve’s design fit the game?
Kim told PlayStation.Blog that Eve is an Airborne Squad member sent from an outer-space colony to Earth. He described her athleticism and fluidity as a contrast to the barren, dry, ruined setting. That context explains the design intention, while the body-model credit remains specific: Shin Jae-eun was the body reference, and Eve’s face was made in-house.
