Emma Chamberlain’s ex-boyfriend is Tucker Pillsbury, the singer-songwriter who performs as Role Model. They reportedly began dating in 2020, confirmed their relationship publicly in a February 2023 GQ feature, and their breakup was reported in October 2023 after more than three years together.
Who is Role Model?
Role Model is the professional name of Tucker Pillsbury, a singer-songwriter. Pillsbury and Chamberlain were first linked through Instagram in 2020: he said he contacted her after seeing a TikTok she had posted. The Independent’s account of their joint GQ interview says they exchanged messages before going on a date at Chamberlain’s Los Angeles home. The Independent’s report recounts that early part of their relationship.

Emma Chamberlain and Role Model’s relationship timeline
- 2020: They reportedly began dating after Pillsbury reached out to Chamberlain on Instagram.
- March 2022: They appeared together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, making their red-carpet debut as a couple, according to The Independent.
- February 2023: A joint GQ feature publicly confirmed the relationship. The couple described wanting to share some of their relationship while keeping other parts private, as recounted by The Independent.
- October 2023: The Independent and Teen Vogue reported that they had split after more than three years together. Teen Vogue’s relationship timeline also places the reported breakup in October.
What Role Model said about the breakup and Kansas Anymore
In a July 2024 Vanity Fair interview, Pillsbury described the relationship as his first serious one. He said he had been struggling with his direction in Los Angeles and was not fully present as the relationship began to slip. The interview says that after the split, he discarded much of the material planned for his second album, while some songs remained; Kansas Anymore includes music shaped in part by heartbreak.
Pillsbury also reflected on the release of the album’s singles: “Once we started putting out these singles, I fully started feeling like my own entity again, which is all I wanted.” That is his account of his own experience, not confirmation of private details about Chamberlain. The interview discusses songs that reference her, including “Frances,” which shares her middle name, but lyrics and song interpretations should not be treated as proof of events in their relationship.

Are Emma Chamberlain and Role Model back together?
The sources cited here do not establish Chamberlain’s relationship status as of October 8, 2026, or indicate that she and Pillsbury reunited. Teen Vogue has discussed 2024 sightings of Chamberlain with musician Peter McPoland and online speculation, but notes that the pair had not clarified their status. Sightings and fan theories do not confirm a relationship. Likewise, an Apple Podcasts listing for Chamberlain’s April 12, 2024 episode of Call Her Daddy says she discussed an ex-boyfriend and a new relationship, but does not name either person.
