Why is Carla Marino Parker’s enemy?
Paramount+’s synopsis for the Season 23 premiere, “Prodigal Son, Part 1,” says Parker is reeling from his father’s murder and hunts down the woman he holds responsible. That is the official promotional framing of his motive; the synopsis alone does not establish the full evidence behind his accusation or provide a complete account of Marino’s past with Parker.

What the official descriptions establish—and what they don’t
The official materials identify Marino’s role, De Mornay’s casting, her cartel connection, and the personal reason Parker pursues her. They do not provide a full character biography, a transcript-level explanation of the case against her, or a definitive account of how the two-part story ends. The synopses are promotional descriptions, so they should not be treated as a substitute for events shown in the episodes.
