How does Bugs fit into the series?
NCIS: Origins is a prequel following a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the early 1990s, before the events of NCIS. Austin Stowell plays Gibbs, and Mark Harmon narrates the series, according to CBS’s series overview. That setting places Bugs’s story in the prequel era; the available synopsis does not establish a broader role for him in the franchise.
