Emma Shelton is Ben Shelton’s sister and a former University of Florida women’s tennis player. She played college tennis at South Carolina before transferring to Florida, where she joined the Gators in 2021. A September 2026 Town & Country profile reported that she works in finance.
Who is Ben Shelton’s sister?
Emma Shelton is the sister of American tennis player Ben Shelton. The ATP Tour’s player biography identifies their relationship, and the University of Florida roster lists Emma as the daughter of former Florida men’s tennis coach Bryan Shelton. Florida’s profile also identifies her as a Gainesville native who attended Buchholz High School.
Where did Emma Shelton play college tennis?
Emma played women’s college tennis first at the University of South Carolina and then at the University of Florida. Florida’s roster says she signed with the Gators on June 15, 2021, after transferring from South Carolina. The ATP biography described her as a senior on Florida’s team when that biography was prepared; that is a time-specific description, not a current status.
Her college record establishes a path through collegiate tennis. The available profiles do not establish that she pursued a professional playing career, so her college tennis should not be mistaken for a documented professional career.

How did tennis shape the Shelton family?
Emma and Ben grew up in a family closely involved in tennis. In a 2019 recollection quoted by Town & Country in its September 2026 profile, Emma said her father trained her and Ben before working with the players on his team: “My dad takes a lot of time out of his day to train me and my brother before he gets to work with all the guys on his team.”
That account offers a glimpse of their early tennis environment, while Florida’s roster documents Emma’s own collegiate route.

What has Emma said about supporting Ben?
Emma attended Ben’s matches at Wimbledon in July 2025. After his third-round win over Marton Fucsovics, Ben told the ATP Tour that she had been at every match he had played at that tournament so far and called her his “lucky charm.” He added that she had work back in the United States starting the following Monday. His comment refers to that Wimbledon tournament, not to her attendance at every event in his career.
