What happened in the “coronavirus challenge” video?
In March 2020, during the early COVID-19 pandemic, Louise posted a video licking an airplane toilet seat and labeled it a “coronavirus challenge.” VICE reported that the video was subsequently removed from TikTok. Why did Ava Louise lick a toilet seat?
Louise later characterized the stunt as a bid for attention. In an interview recounted by VICE, she said the jokes and statements drew on internet culture to get attention. Distractify reported that she also connected the stunt to promoting her song Skinny Legend Anthem, describing a goal of getting people to click the link in her bio and listen. Did Kanye West date Jeffree Star?
The widely circulated January 2021 story was a fabricated rumor, not evidence that Kanye West and Jeffree Star were involved. The Harvard Crimson reported that Louise’s TikTok suggested West was involved with a male beauty influencer; commenters identified Star.
