Andy has said publicly that their relationship shaped his music, most directly in the song “I Do.” The public record covers how they met, roughly when they married, and that the couple has children. It does not give an exact wedding date or a full picture of Aijia’s current career.
Who Aijia Grammer is
Aijia Grammer is a songwriter. In a 2015 interview with Glamour, Andy referred to her as his wife and described her as an “incredible songwriter.” That interview is the clearest on-the-record description of her professional identity available. Andy has not, in the sources covered here, detailed her specific songs, credits or current projects, so anything beyond the songwriter label would go past the evidence.

How they met
Andy has said he and Aijia met in the music program at California State University, Northridge. The shared training matters for understanding the couple’s creative relationship: both were working in songwriting and music before they became a married couple, and Andy has consistently described her as a songwriter rather than as a public performer.
When they married
The exact wedding date is not published in the sources covered here. The best available clue is the 2015 Glamour interview, which described Aijia as Andy’s wife of three years. Read at face value, that places the marriage around 2012. Because the phrasing is relative to the time of publication, treat 2012 as an approximate year rather than a confirmed date.

“I Do” and the songwriting connection
Andy’s song “I Do” is the clearest public link between his marriage and his work. LA Phil’s artist profile describes the song as written about Aijia and the couple’s relationship, and Hollywood Records’ artist page describes it the same way, as being about Andy’s relationship with his wife. Both descriptions come from institutions that present the song’s background, not from a detailed account of how it was written, so the song’s connection to Aijia is documented while its composition process is not.
Andy has also framed the marriage as a source of perspective. In a Hollywood Records statement about his single “All I Want Is You,” he wrote:
“I wish I was better at remembering this, but I can get pretty caught up in chasing the next thing – the next goal, the next accomplishment, whatever I’ve decided is going to make me feel like I’ve finally arrived. ‘All I Want Is You’ is a reminder to myself in song form that my wife and daughters are my north star.”
Their children
Andy and Aijia have children. In 2018, the GRAMMY Museum discussed Andy becoming a father to a newborn daughter. In a 2026 statement, he referred to his wife and daughters, using the plural. Those statements confirm that he has more than one daughter in the plural sense, but the sources covered here do not establish the current number of children or their names, so no count or names should be assumed.

What is not established about Aijia
- Exact wedding date: not published in the sources covered here; only the approximate 2012 timeframe can be inferred from the 2015 interview.
- Current projects: no present-day songs, releases or credits for Aijia are confirmed in the sources covered here.
- Full family details: the current number of children and their names are not confirmed.
Andy’s current release context
For readers arriving from a search for Andy’s wife, the most recent career news is the release of “All I Want Is You,” which Hollywood Records lists as released on August 14, 2026. The label has announced the album Big Stupid Heart for October 16, 2026. As of today, October 8, 2026, that album is still upcoming, so its release should be confirmed through Andy’s official channels or Hollywood Records before relying on the date.
Andy’s earlier album Monster is also tied to the couple’s story through “I Do.” Hollywood Records recorded a 2024 vinyl pre-order for Monster, but that is a past offer; current retail availability was not confirmed in the sources covered here.
