WWE named Stephanie McMahon the individual headliner of its 2026 Hall of Fame class. An earlier report said John Cena was believed to be in line for the role, but that was unconfirmed backstage discussion—not a WWE announcement. The ceremony has since taken place, and WWE’s recap confirms the completed class.
Who headlined the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame?
Stephanie McMahon was officially named the individual headliner. WWE’s announcement said she would “headline the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 in Las Vegas.” WWE’s Stephanie McMahon announcement is the clearest source for her individual status.

WWE later promoted Stephanie, AJ Styles, and Demolition together as the ceremony’s “headlining inductees.” That wording refers to a group of featured inductees; it does not change the earlier announcement naming Stephanie individually. WWE’s ceremony announcement
Was John Cena chosen to headline?
No WWE announcement identified Cena as the headliner. On November 18, 2025, Wrestling Inc. reported Bryan Alvarez’s account of backstage discussion: “As of Monday night, the belief was the headliner would be John Cena.” The report explicitly described the matter as unconfirmed, so it is best understood as an earlier expectation, not a confirmed decision that WWE later reversed. Dennis Rodman entered the Celebrity Wing, while Bad News Brown and Sid Vicious were inducted posthumously as legacy inductees. The ceremony also recognized Hulk Hogan vs. André the Giant at WrestleMania III as the 2026 Immortal Moment. WWE’s ceremony recap
