Fans came up with the “Terror Twins” nickname for Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. Priest said they spotted the pair making similar facial expressions and acting alike; WWE liked the name and used it when the two teamed together.
How did the nickname start?
Priest said fans noticed recurring similarities between him and Ripley, including matching expressions. In comments reported by The Sportster and syndicated by Yardbarker, he explained that fans took screenshots of the pair and saw them “keep doing the same thing, the same facial expressions, and acting similarly, by accident, because we were around each other so much.”
Priest said the fans began calling them the Terror Twins. The name, he said, came from the fans—not from him, Ripley, or WWE creative. Yardbarker’s July 30, 2025 report attributes the account to an interview with the MLB Network Podcast ahead of SummerSlam 2025.
What did WWE do with the fan-created name?
WWE adopted it after fans coined it. Priest said the company liked the nickname and “ran with it” when he and Ripley teamed together. A later WrestleTalk report published October 3, 2025, transcribing an interview with JoezMcfly, likewise quotes Priest saying the fans gave them the name and WWE used it when they teamed.

Why “twins” if they are not related?
Priest has described “twins” as a playful label for their rapport, not a claim that they are related. In the WrestleTalk-transcribed interview, he said they think and act alike, share interests in music and movies, and both love performing and their fans. The nickname grew from the likeness fans noticed and the friendship Priest described.
