The four women identified in reporting as mothers of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s children are Misa Hylton, Kim Porter, Sarah Chapman, and Dana Tran. The family is commonly described as seven children across four women; one important distinction is that Quincy Taylor Brown is Kim Porter’s biological son, whom Combs adopted.
Who are the four mothers?
| Mother | Children |
|---|---|
| Misa Hylton | Justin Dior Combs |
| Kim Porter | Christian “King” Combs; twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James Combs; and Quincy Taylor Brown |
| Sarah Chapman | Chance Combs |
| Dana Tran | Love Sean Combs |
ABC News’ Good Morning America provides a child-by-child account of the family, while the Los Angeles Times independently reports several of the parent-child connections and Combs’s 2022 announcement of Love, his seventh child. ABC News / Good Morning America; Los Angeles Times.
What to know about Kim Porter and Quincy Brown
Porter was the biological mother of Quincy, Christian, and twins D’Lila and Jessie. Combs adopted Quincy; describing Quincy as Combs’s biological son would be inaccurate. EL PAÍS’s 2024 family account gives the same distinction. EL PAÍS.
Why the count is often given as seven children and four women
That is the family count reported by EL PAÍS in 2024, rather than a statistical measure. It includes Quincy, whom Combs adopted, and the children associated with Hylton, Porter, Chapman, and Tran. EL PAÍS’s 2024 account also describes a statement by Porter’s children denying that their mother wrote a book. The Associated Press reproduced their statement in October 2024: “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.” Associated Press.
