Public reporting names only the eldest son, Preston, and the family has kept the other children’s identities private. Although Bezos’s children are sometimes framed as “future Amazon heirs,” no reviewed source establishes that they are set to inherit or control Amazon.
What is publicly known about Jeff Bezos’s children?
Bezos and Scott had four children together. TIME reported in 2021 that they have three sons and a daughter adopted from China. The report did not name the daughter or identify the children individually (TIME).
A secondary family profile updated in August 2026 names the eldest son as Preston Bezos and reports his birth year as 2000. That same profile says the other three children have not been publicly named (KidsCo). Because that identification comes from secondary reporting, it should be treated cautiously; there is no basis for guessing the siblings’ names or birth dates.
How old are they, and are they still in college?
Vogue reported in December 2023 that all four children were in college at that time. That is a dated account, not confirmation of their current enrollment or a basis for calculating exact current ages. Public coverage reviewed here does not establish exact birth dates for three of the children (Vogue).

Are Bezos’s children the same as Lauren Sánchez’s children?
No. Bezos and Scott’s four children are distinct from Lauren Sánchez’s three children from earlier relationships. Vogue described the groups separately in 2023, and a June 2025 Forbes article also reported the separate counts (Forbes). Those reports do not make Sánchez’s children part of the four children Bezos shares with Scott.

There is no public evidence in the reviewed sources that Bezos’s children are designated to inherit or control Amazon. Amazon’s official biography identifies Bezos as the company’s Executive Chair; it does not name any child as an executive or successor (Amazon Investor Relations).

Inheritance of personal wealth and succession at a public company are separate questions. The sources reviewed disclose no will, trust, estate allocation, or plan naming the children as heirs. Forbes’s discussion of blended-family financial planning is general commentary, not reporting on Bezos’s private arrangements.
