The two women identified in news coverage after their arrests alongside Andrew and Tristan Tate in Romania in late December 2022 were Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu. Romanian reports have also used the fuller names Georgiana Manuela Naghel and Alexandra-Luana Radu. Prosecutors accused the four of involvement in trafficking and exploitation; those accusations are allegations, not proof of guilt.
Who are Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu?
Contemporary reports identified the women arrested with the Tate brothers as Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu. Some Romanian coverage gave their fuller names as Georgiana Manuela Naghel and Alexandra-Luana Radu. The names became widely reported in early January 2023, after the arrests in Romania. The naming reports established who the women were; they did not establish the truth of the accusations against them.

What were they accused of?
Romanian prosecutors accused Naghel, Radu, Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate of involvement in trafficking and exploitation. Reuters reported in February 2023 that Naghel and Radu denied the allegations, and said it could not independently corroborate some details attributed to the prosecution. Allegations in a criminal investigation or indictment are not convictions.
How did the Romanian case develop?
| When | What happened | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Late December 2022 | Romanian authorities detained the Tate brothers and two women in an investigation; contemporary coverage identified the women as Naghel and Radu. | An arrest and investigation do not establish guilt. |
| June 2023 | Romanian reporting said prosecutors sent Andrew and Tristan Tate, Naghel and Radu to trial on accusations including forming an organized criminal group and trafficking. | A trial referral is not a conviction. |
| Late 2024 | Later reporting said an appellate court returned the earlier case to prosecutors over procedural and evidentiary issues. | This was a procedural development, not a ruling on whether the underlying accusations were true. |
What do the 2026 updates establish?
September 2026 reporting by Reuters and the Associated Press described a new Romanian indictment involving Andrew and Tristan Tate, with allegations including trafficking minors and money laundering. The Associated Press reported that Tristan Tate was indicted for complicity and that the new indictment stemmed from the investigation that led to the brothers’ earlier arrest. These reports concern allegations and a later indictment; they should not be treated as a resolution of the earlier case against Naghel and Radu.
#1 Best Overall
Separate Associated Press reporting in July–September 2026 said the Tate brothers were in U.S. custody amid proceedings on a UK extradition request. That is a separate process concerning the brothers. The current reporting reviewed here does not establish Naghel’s or Radu’s present location, restrictions, or procedural status.

The available reporting supports their identification and describes the accusations and procedural history, but it does not establish their current individual circumstances. In particular, the 2026 updates about the Tate brothers do not answer whether Naghel or Radu is currently subject to restrictions or what procedural position either woman holds.
