Eddie Murphy’s older brother was comedian and actor Charlie Murphy. His younger half-brother is Vernon Lynch Jr., a musician and television producer associated with the hip-hop group K-9 Posse. Vernon Lynch Jr. is not Eddie’s stepfather, Vernon Lynch Sr.

K-9 Posse and its albums
Apple Music lists K-9 Posse and the albums K-9 Posse and On a Different Tip. AllMusic also lists On a Different Tip, but gives a different year for the group’s self-titled album than Apple Music does. Because the catalog sources disagree on that album’s release year, it is safer to identify the title without assigning it a year.
These listings support Lynch’s connection to the group, but they do not establish a detailed career timeline, personal biography or current projects. Claims beyond the documented music and television-production descriptions should be treated cautiously.
