It does not support a reliable list of five famous faces, so presenting five names as confirmed supporters would overstate what is known.
Why a five-person list cannot be verified
A person’s connection to Aberdeen FC is not automatically proof that they support the club. Playing for the team, working for it, or being popular with its supporters are different from being a fan. The material available for this topic does not establish five famous people who support Aberdeen.

Several names appear in a Reddit discussion as possible Aberdeen supporters, but the discussion offers uncertain claims rather than confirmation. Without a statement from the person, an official biography, or credible reporting, those names should not be presented as fact.
The strongest documented example: Peter Weir
Aberdeen FC’s Hall of Fame feature on Peter Weir says he became an avid supporter after seeing Aberdeen win the Scottish Cup in 1970. Weir recalled: “After that I followed and supported Aberdeen all over the country, travelling by train or supporters bus from Glasgow, sometimes by myself.”
#1 Best Overall
- Accrington Stanley
His allegiance is documented, but with an important qualification: Weir later played for Aberdeen and was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame. He is a verified supporter, not a straightforward example of a famous person whose fandom is separate from a playing career.
Club connections that do not prove celebrity fandom
Aberdeen FC’s obituary for Ally Shewan says he grew up in Turriff as an Aberdeen supporter. It also recounts his playing career and later roles with the club. This documents Shewan’s own connection, but does not establish a list of celebrity fans.
The club’s testimonial feature about Eugène Dadi calls him a fan favourite among Aberdeen supporters. That describes the supporters’ regard for a former player; it is not evidence that Dadi was a famous Aberdeen supporter.

A dependable list should distinguish direct evidence of fandom from association with the club. The strongest support would be a person identifying themselves as an Aberdeen fan. An official biography or reputable reporting that clearly documents their allegiance can also support the claim. A playing record, a club job, or popularity with fans alone cannot.

Quick Recap
- Direct self-identification: the person says they support Aberdeen.
- Documented biography or reporting: a credible source explicitly describes their support.
- Indirect association: a playing or professional connection, or being called a fan favourite. This does not by itself establish supporter status.
