Sharon Stone described hair she says she lost at the sides after her stroke growing back while she used the brand’s shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner. Her account does not establish that the products caused regrowth.
What Sharon Stone said about the shampoo
In an interview with Byrdie, Stone said she had started using Augustinus Bader shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner. Prevention quoted her saying: “All the hair I had lost under here, on the sides from the stroke, grew back. And I have hair!” The statement is her personal account, not a controlled test or independent medical assessment.
Us Weekly’s August 7, 2025 shopping article identifies the product as Augustinus Bader The Shampoo with TFC8. Its article discloses affiliate partnerships and links to Amazon; availability, price and purchase terms can change.
Does the shampoo prove it can regrow hair?
No. Stone’s account describes what happened while she was using several products, but it cannot show that the shampoo caused her hair to return. Prevention’s May 14, 2023 article relays the brand’s claims that its products reduce shedding and support natural hair growth; those are product claims, not independent evidence that the shampoo treats hair loss.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Prevention also notes that it found no evidence indicating hair loss is a side effect of stroke. The account therefore does not establish either that the stroke caused Stone’s hair loss or that the shampoo reversed it. The cited coverage does not provide a clinical study, trial result or regulator finding demonstrating that this shampoo regrows hair.
What the product claims mean in practice
Us Weekly describes the shampoo as hydrating and smoothing and says it reduces breakage. Cosmetic conditioning or less breakage can affect how hair looks and how much strands snap during care; that is different from treating a medical cause of hair loss or demonstrating new growth.
