Regigigas has the highest base-stat total of the Regi group, at 670. The other five commonly grouped Regis (Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki and Regidrago) each total 580, and each is built around a different specialty. So the answer depends on what “strongest” means: raw stat total, a single standout stat, or usefulness in a particular game and format.
Three ways to measure “strongest”
The question has no single answer until you name a measure. The official Pokémon Support article on this exact question makes the same point. It says the answer depends on how the Pokémon is trained in the video games, and that “the biggest thing to think about, in regards to what is the strongest, is looking at what kind of challenge you’re facing.” Pokémon Support, “What is the strongest Pokémon?” (updated January 30, 2026)

Three measures are useful to separate:
- Total base stats. The sum of the six base stats. This is a fixed number per species, not a prediction of how a battle will go.
- Highest single stat. Which Regi leads in one category, and what role that stat supports.
- Competitive usefulness. How well a Regi performs in a named game and format, with a specific team and role. This depends on typing, ability, moves, format rules and matchups, none of which base stats capture.
Base stats side by side
Base stats are listed as HP / Attack / Defense / Special Attack / Special Defense / Speed. The values for the five specialists come from Pokémon Database Pokédex pages for each species. The Registeel row shows only the total used in the comparison; its individual stat line is not stated in the Smogon strategy entry cited for it.
| Pokémon | HP | Attack | Defense | Sp. Atk | Sp. Def | Speed | Total | Standout stat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regirock | 80 | 100 | 200 | 50 | 100 | 50 | 580 | 200 Defense (Pokémon Database) |
| Regice | 80 | 50 | 100 | 100 | 200 | 50 | 580 | 200 Special Defense (Pokémon Database) |
| Registeel | not stated in cited source | not stated in cited source | not stated in cited source | not stated in cited source | not stated in cited source | not stated in cited source | 580 | Balanced defensive role (Smogon, Scarlet/Violet) |
| Regieleki | 80 | 100 | 50 | 100 | 50 | 200 | 580 | 200 Speed (Pokémon Database) |
| Regidrago | 200 | 100 | 50 | 100 | 50 | 80 | 580 | 200 HP (Pokémon Database) |
| Regigigas | 110 | 160 | 110 | 80 | 110 | 100 | 670 | Highest total; 160 Attack (Pokémon Database) |
Regigigas leads on total by 90 points. That gap says nothing about which Regi wins a given fight, because a 580-total Pokémon with the right typing, ability and moves can outperform a higher-total one in a specific role.

How the specialists differ in competitive play
The Smogon Scarlet/Violet strategy entries cited here cover only three of the six Regis: Regirock, Registeel and Regidrago. They describe roles, not rankings. Treat them as examples of why one winner cannot be named across all formats.
Regirock: the physical wall
Regirock’s 200 Defense is the highest in this group among the specialists. The Smogon Scarlet/Violet entry describes it as having great physical bulk and providing Stealth Rock support. Smogon, Regirock Scarlet/Violet strategy
Registeel: the mixed defensive option
The Smogon entry describes Registeel as an excellent mixed wall and a Stealth Rock setter. A mixed wall is built to take both physical and special attacks, which makes it a balanced choice rather than a specialist. Smogon, Registeel Scarlet/Violet strategy
Regidrago: the late-game sweeper
Regidrago’s 200 HP is its headline stat, but the Smogon entry focuses on its ability to build power over a match. It describes Dragon Energy, amplified by Dragon’s Maw, as a late-game sweeping threat. Smogon, Regidrago Scarlet/Violet strategy
Regice: the special wall
Regice’s 200 Special Defense makes it the specialist’s counterpart to Regirock. The cited sources list this stat but do not include a competitive strategy entry for Regice, so its role in a given format should be checked against current strategy resources before drawing conclusions.
Rank #2
- The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Day 2026 Collection includes 1 foil promo card featuring Pikachu with a Pokémon Day stamp.
- This also comes with 1 Pokémon coin.
- You will also receive 3 Pokémon TCG booster packs.
- Booster Packs May Vary from those pictured.
Regieleki: the speed specialist
Regieleki’s 200 Speed makes it the fastest Regi by base stat. Speed matters most when move order decides a battle, so its usefulness depends heavily on the rest of the team and the format’s rules.
Regigigas: the highest total
Regigigas has the highest base-stat total (670) and its highest stat is 160 Attack. Its total is the clearest answer to “highest stats,” but the cited sources give no competitive strategy entry for it, so do not treat its total as a ranking of how it performs in play.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which Regi fits which question
- “Which Regi has the highest stats?” Regigigas, at 670 total base stats.
- “Which Regi is fastest?” Regieleki, with 200 base Speed.
- “Which Regi is the best physical wall?” Regirock, with 200 base Defense and the Smogon description of great physical bulk.
- “Which Regi is the best special wall?” Regice, with 200 base Special Defense.
- “Which Regi is best competitively?” Name the game and format first. Then compare role, team fit and matchup coverage. The cited strategy entries do not establish a single current ranking that places all six in the same format.
What base stats do not tell you
Base stats are fixed numbers, and they are only one input. Typing, ability, held items, moves, and the format’s rules change how a Pokémon performs. That is why the same Regi can be a strong pick in one team and a weak one in another. If you are choosing for a specific battle or challenge, start from the role you need filled, then check that the Regi’s stat spread supports it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFor game data, the Pokémon Database Pokédex pages cited above give base stats per species. For role descriptions, use the Smogon Scarlet/Violet pages linked in the sections above, noting that they reflect that generation’s format and are not a full tier list.
