Chloé Lukasiak and Nia Sioux have both described staying in touch with former Dance Moms castmates, and Nia has said she still counts several of them as friends. The most detailed statements date to May 2024, so they describe those friendships as of that point, not as a live status update.
The short answer
Several former cast members have publicly said they are still friends with one another, but “friends” covers very different levels of closeness. Chloé has described regular contact with four former castmates. Nia has named five people she still considers friends. Neither account ranks relationships or describes the whole cast.
What Chloé Lukasiak said
In a May 1, 2024 interview with Girls’ Life, Chloé said she had “pretty much kept in touch with everyone since the show,” naming Kalani Hilliker, Nia Sioux and Brooke Hyland as people she talks to, and saying she sees Paige Hyland, “just not as a group.”
She singled out Nia as her closest friend from the show. She said the two “really got close after the show,” that they moved to Los Angeles around the same time, that they lived near one another, and that they talked often.

Chloé also described the reunion period as a stretch of renewed contact: “With the reunion, it’s been pretty much a year of just constant communication again.” That describes communication among participants during the year after the reunion, not a permanent change in every relationship.
What Nia Sioux reportedly said
E! reported Nia saying she was still friends with “a good amount” of her former teammates: “I’m friends with, still, a good amount of them.” The report named Chloé, Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Brooke Hyland and Paige Hyland as the people she was referring to. Because E!’s wording is available only as reported coverage, treat the quotation as E!’s account of Nia’s remarks rather than a verified transcript.

The statement establishes friendship, not frequency. It does not say how often Nia sees any of these people or how close each tie is.

The official production page lists JoJo Siwa, Chloé Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker as reunion participants. Good Morning America reported that participants described the women as still friends and supportive, while noting they had not been together at the same time since the show ended.

Appearing together is useful context, but it does not by itself prove a private friendship. Equally, a castmate who did not take part in the reunion is not evidence of a falling out, and the reunion lineup covers only a subset of the girls who appeared across the series.

What the evidence does not establish
- Current status. The most specific on-record accounts are from May 2024. Relationships change, and none of these statements shows how things stand today.
- Cast-wide status. The statements cover only the women named above. They say nothing about most other girls who appeared on the show, so their status is unknown rather than estranged.
- Closeness within Nia’s list. Nia’s account puts five names in one category of friendship, but describes no difference in how close she is to each.
- Reunion attendance as proof. The production page and press coverage of the reunion establish who took part, not how the participants feel about one another privately.
How to read a “still friends” claim
- Who said it. A first-person account from the person involved carries more weight than a reported paraphrase.
- When it was said. Check the date before treating it as current.
- What level it describes. “Friends,” “close” and “talk often” are different claims. Only Chloé’s account of Nia gives detail on all three.
- Whether a reunion is being used as evidence. Being in the same room on a reunion broadcast tells you about participation, not about private friendship.
