A 2022 report on a Compare the Market study found that Mickey Mouse led its Mickey & Co. character searches in 114 of 120 countries. In separate groups, Wall-E led Pixar characters in 55 countries and Moana led Disney princesses in more than 50. Those are country-level wins within categories—not a single ranking of every Disney character by total worldwide searches—and the underlying search data is from 2021, not current.
What the worldwide study found
Attractions Magazine reported the results of a Compare the Market study that examined 108 character search terms associated with Disney films across 120 countries. It found different leaders for three character groups:

Within the princess group, Cinderella was second and led in 20 countries. These figures describe which character had the strongest result in a country within its group; they are not counts of total searches worldwide. Attractions Magazine’s April 4, 2022 report attributes the findings to Compare the Market.
How to interpret “most searched”
The study used search volumes for May 2021, averaged over the preceding 12 months. It is therefore a historical snapshot, not a measurement of what people are searching for now. The report says it assessed 108 character terms from Disney films and excluded characters appearing only in television series. When a character had multiple names, it used the most popular search term.

That method answers a narrower question than “Which Disney character gets the most searches worldwide?” A character can lead in many countries without having the highest combined search volume across all countries. The reported results also do not measure people’s favorite characters, recognition, or popularity in a survey. The report’s country-win framing and grouped categories should be kept intact when describing the findings.
Why other Disney search rankings may differ
Rankings depend on what is counted. Geography, date range, characters included, alternate names, categories, and the distinction between total search volume and country-level wins can all change the outcome.

So, which Disney character is searched the most?
The substantiated answer is that Mickey Mouse was the leading Mickey & Co. search term in the most countries in the reported study: 114 of 120. Wall-E led the Pixar group in 55 countries, while Moana led the princess group in more than 50. The available results do not establish one definitive overall winner by total searches across every character, nor do they provide a current global ranking.
