The Hulu listing could refer to Man On Fire (2004), directed by Tony Scott, or The Equalizer 3 (2023), directed by Antoine Fuqua. The available official pages do not verify that either film was Washington’s final collaboration with its director. They also use “final” in different ways: Hulu calls The Equalizer 3 the final chapter of a franchise, not the end of the actor-director partnership.
Which Denzel Washington movie is on Hulu?
For Man On Fire, 20th Century Studios’ official film page currently displays “STREAM ON HULU.” The page does not identify a territory, so availability may vary by location; check Hulu in your region before relying on the listing. 20th Century Studios’ Man On Fire page also displays “BUY IT NOW,” but does not specify a purchase format or establish a DVD, Blu-ray, or Amazon listing.

The Equalizer 3 is another plausible match: Hulu has an official listing for the film. The two films have different directors, and neither page supports treating “final collaboration” as a confirmed fact.
How the two possible films differ
| Film | Director and story | Official availability evidence | What “final” establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Man On Fire (2004) | Tony Scott directed. Washington plays John Creasy, an ex-CIA operative hired to protect nine-year-old Pita Ramos, played by Dakota Fanning. After Pita is kidnapped, Creasy pursues those responsible. | 20th Century Studios’ page says “STREAM ON HULU.” It does not specify territory. | The page does not say this was Washington and Scott’s final collaboration. |
| The Equalizer 3 (2023) | Antoine Fuqua directed. Washington plays Robert McCall, whose friends in southern Italy are threatened by local crime bosses. Dakota Fanning also stars. | Hulu lists the film. Disney+ catalog metadata gives a runtime of 1 hour 49 minutes, a 2023 release year, an R rating, and Fuqua as director. | Hulu calls it “the final chapter of The Protector saga.” That is a franchise description, not evidence that Washington and Fuqua will not work together again. |

Is Man On Fire Washington and Tony Scott’s final collaboration?
That is not established by the official studio page. It identifies Scott as the director and Washington as a cast member, but does not describe the film as their final collaboration or document their full working chronology. The accurate claim is that Man On Fire is a Washington-Scott film that 20th Century Studios currently promotes for streaming on Hulu.

No. Hulu’s phrase “the final chapter of The Protector saga” refers to the franchise, not a confirmed end to the Washington-Fuqua partnership. A Netflix Tudum announcement dated November 13, 2023 said Washington would star as Hannibal in a then-untitled film directed and co-produced by Fuqua. That announcement gave no release date at the time and does not establish the project’s current production status. It is enough to show why Hulu’s franchise wording should not be recast as a definitive claim about the director and actor.

What to watch, depending on what you meant
- If you meant Tony Scott: look for Man On Fire and check Hulu for availability in your region; the studio page currently promotes it there.
- If you meant the phrase “final chapter”: look for The Equalizer 3, but understand that Hulu’s description concerns the saga, not a verified final Washington-Fuqua collaboration.
- If you meant a confirmed final actor-director pairing: neither official film listing establishes that claim.
