The strongest available evidence identifies five names, not six independently verified celebrity fans. Here is what the sources actually say, and where the attendance question remains unanswered.
Which celebrities support QPR?
These names have differing levels of support in published sources. None of the sources cited below confirms a named person’s presence at a specific QPR league match.
Bill Bailey
A Sky Sports profile published on 10 December 2010 describes comedian and musician Bill Bailey as a long-standing QPR fan. It says he became attached to Loftus Road after moving to London as a teenager. That is evidence of supporter status, not proof of regular attendance today. Read the Sky Sports profile.
Robert Elms
The Guardian’s 27 February 2015 feature identifies radio presenter Robert Elms as a lifelong QPR supporter. It discusses his contribution to R’Story, a film about the club and its supporters, and his reflections on the match-going community. The article reports him saying: “You plough through a lot of rubbish,” he says, “which makes the highs even higher.” This is a comment on the experience of supporting a club, not a dated sighting at a particular fixture. Glen Matlock
The same Guardian feature says that musician Glen Matlock, an original member of the Sex Pistols, is among the lifelong fans whose experiences are heard in R’Story. It supports describing him as a QPR fan, but does not document a recent match appearance. Read the Guardian feature.
Pete Doherty
In an announcement dated 7 November 2025, QPR called musician Pete Doherty a lifelong Rangers fan and said he was set to attend the Game4theChildren celebrity event at Loftus Road on 15 December 2025. That announcement establishes the club’s description of his support and a planned appearance; it does not confirm that the appearance took place. Nor is a planned charity event the same as a verified sighting at a league match. Read QPR’s announcement.

Nick Saloman
Independent Rs published an interview with musician and songwriter Nick Saloman about being a QPR fan in April 2018. As a supporter publication, it is useful evidence, though it is not equivalent in source type to a club announcement or an established newspaper or sports outlet. The interview establishes the subject of his fandom, not attendance at a specified match. Read the Independent Rs interview.
Have any of them been confirmed at a match?
The sources above support claims of fandom more clearly than claims of attendance. A profile calling someone a supporter, an interview about their allegiance, or a film featuring fans’ stories does not by itself show that the person was present at a particular fixture. The QPR announcement about Doherty concerned a forthcoming event and, as published, described an expected appearance rather than confirming it afterward.

To verify a sighting, a report or image needs to tie the person to a dated game or event and establish the location and context. The sources here do not provide that kind of confirmation for these five people. So if you have seen one at Loftus Road, it may be a genuine personal recollection—but it is not a match sighting verified by the cited material.

The title’s count should not be mistaken for a verified list. Other names—including Ian Gillan, Robert Smith, Mick Jones, Michael Gove, Martin Clunes and Louis Theroux—appear in online lists or fan discussions, but the available evidence for them is largely derivative or informal. Repetition across lists does not independently confirm a person’s support, and the evidence does not justify adding one of those names as a sixth well-supported example.

QPR fandom is bigger than celebrity sightings
Celebrity interest is only one small part of the club’s supporter culture. QPR’s 2025/26 Fan Engagement Plan describes supporters as central to the club and says it was launching a Supporter Advisory Board to formalise consultation.
