Its free, ad-supported service currently offers One Piece seasons 1–13—1,028 reported episodes—through a 24/7 channel and on-demand viewing. It does not include the newest episodes, so viewers will need Crunchyroll for the ongoing anime and later arcs. Netflix has selected seasons in some regions, while Crunchyroll’s seven-day trial is only a temporary option.
Best free legal option: Pluto TV
In the United States, the best verified place to start is Pluto TV. Pluto announced that seasons 1–13 of One Piece—a reported 1,028 episodes—are available through its free, ad-supported service. The episodes are offered through a dedicated 24/7 channel as well as on-demand viewing.
That is enough to watch a substantial portion of the original television anime without paying. However, Pluto TV does not carry the complete current run. Its seasons 1–13 catalog stops before the newest episodes and later story material, so viewers who reach the end will need another service to continue.
Access can vary by device and platform. Pluto TV is designed for free viewing, but you still need an internet connection and a compatible browser, smart-TV app, streaming device, game console, or mobile device. An account may or may not be required depending on how you access the service.

Where to watch the newest One Piece episodes
For the ongoing anime and the broadest current selection, use Crunchyroll. Its official One Piece listing includes Japanese and English audio, and the service continues to carry the series, including episodes from the Elbaph arc.
Crunchyroll is the more practical destination if you want to continue beyond Pluto TV’s seasons 1–13, follow new episodes, or choose between subtitles and the English dub. The important limitation is that seeing the title page does not mean every episode is free to stream. Episode access depends on Crunchyroll’s Premium rules and your territory.
In other words, Pluto TV is the answer for a large free catalog, while Crunchyroll is the answer for the newest and most complete continuing coverage. If you start on Pluto, note the last episode you watch and then search for that episode or the next story arc on Crunchyroll rather than assuming both services use identical season numbering.

Can you watch One Piece free on Crunchyroll?
Do not assume that the full series is permanently free on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll’s standard Premium trial lasts seven days, subject to its eligibility conditions. It can be useful for a short binge or for sampling Premium access, but it is not a permanent free plan.
A trial generally converts to paid service unless it is canceled under the applicable terms. Check the signup screen for the end date, renewal price, and cancellation instructions before starting. If you do not want a charge, cancel in time and confirm that the account shows the trial or subscription has ended.
What about Netflix?
Netflix is a legal option for selected One Piece anime seasons in some markets, but it should not be treated as the main answer for watching every episode for free. Netflix’s official title page does not establish that the complete television anime is available in the United States, and Netflix requires a paid subscription rather than offering the anime as a free service.

Availability varies by country and can change when licensing agreements move titles between services. If you already subscribe to Netflix, search its local catalog for the animated series and check the season list. Do not confuse Netflix’s live-action One Piece series with the long-running animated television anime: the live-action show does not count as anime episodes.
Is the free Crunchyroll Channel showing One Piece?
Crunchyroll also operates a separate free, curated 24/7 channel on selected platforms, including examples such as Roku, Amazon Freevee, LG Smart TVs, and Vizio. That channel is not the same thing as Crunchyroll’s full on-demand catalog.

Crunchyroll’s current help information gives examples such as Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, and Code Geass, but does not list One Piece. Therefore, do not rely on the free Crunchyroll Channel as a way to watch One Piece. Check the channel’s current schedule or title list on your specific platform if you want to verify a change.

How to choose the right service
| Your goal | Best place to start | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Watch a large portion of the anime without paying | Pluto TV | Free, ad-supported seasons 1–13; 1,028 reported episodes; not the newest episodes |
| Watch the ongoing anime and later arcs | Crunchyroll | Broad current catalog, including the Elbaph arc; Premium or territory restrictions may apply |
| Try Premium access briefly | Crunchyroll’s seven-day trial | Temporary access subject to eligibility; cancel before renewal if you do not want to pay |
| Watch seasons included with an existing subscription | Netflix | Selected seasons in some regions; completeness varies and the service is not free |
A practical free-to-current viewing plan
- Start with Pluto TV in the U.S. Search for One Piece in the Pluto TV app or website and choose the on-demand listing if you want to watch in order. The 24/7 channel is useful if you prefer scheduled viewing.
- Expect advertisements. “Free” here means ad-supported, not commercial-free. Playback also depends on your connection and the availability of Pluto TV on your device.
- Stop at Pluto’s catalog boundary. Pluto’s reported 1,028 episodes cover seasons 1–13, not the entire current anime. Do not interpret the end of Pluto’s listing as the end of One Piece.
- Continue on Crunchyroll. Search the series and verify the next episode, season, or arc in the listing. Audio options and availability can differ by region.
- Use the trial only if it fits your timing. A seven-day Premium trial can help with a short viewing window, but record the renewal date and cancel according to the service’s instructions if you do not want a paid subscription.
Why some “free” streaming results are not good answers
Search results for free anime may include pages that are not licensed to distribute the episodes. A site being easy to access—or appearing in a search engine—does not prove that its streams are legal. Unauthorized streaming pages can also use deceptive download buttons, aggressive pop-ups, misleading notifications, or malicious advertising.
For a safer legal route, use the official apps and websites of Pluto TV, Crunchyroll, or Netflix, and verify that the title is available in your country. This also avoids the uncertainty of missing episodes, poor video quality, unreliable subtitles, and sudden site closures.
Important availability limits
- Country matters: The Pluto TV information above is specifically strongest for the United States. Catalogs in other countries may differ substantially.
- Libraries change: Streaming rights can expire or move without notice. Check the service directly before planning a long binge.
- Pluto’s number is limited: The reported 1,028 episodes refer to seasons 1–13, not every episode released in the ongoing anime.
- Free does not mean offline: You still need an internet connection, and platform, account, advertising, and device requirements may apply.
- Audio availability varies: Crunchyroll lists Japanese and English audio for One Piece, but the exact dub and subtitle availability can depend on location and episode.
- Live action is separate: Netflix’s live-action adaptation is not part of the animated episode count.
Bottom line
For U.S. viewers who want to watch One Piece online legally without paying, start with Pluto TV’s free seasons 1–13 catalog. It is the clearest verified free option, but it covers only part of the anime. For the newest episodes, later arcs, and the broadest subbed-and-dubbed selection, move to Crunchyroll; its Premium access or seven-day trial may be required. Netflix is worth checking only for selected seasons already included in your region, not as a guaranteed source for the complete anime.
