The soundtrack was recorded by Vince Guaraldi Trio for the television special, which Craft says premiered on December 9, 1965. The album pairs Guaraldi compositions such as “Linus and Lucy,” “Skating,” and “Christmas Is Coming” with jazz interpretations of “O Tannenbaum,” “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” and “What Child Is This.”
In its 2025 announcement, Craft described the campaign as celebrating both the soundtrack’s 60th anniversary and Peanuts’ 75th anniversary.
