Milton Davis Jr. played J.P., Roger’s friend, in the 1994 film Angels in the Outfield. The most recent public reporting on his career is a July 31, 2024 cast retrospective from Yahoo Entertainment and PEOPLE. It describes guest roles on Sister, Sister and 7th Heaven, a step back from the spotlight in the early 2000s, and a 2015 parody of the film. None of the reporting establishes where he lives or what he does today, and no same-name result we reviewed has been confirmed as him.
Where Milton Davis Jr. is now
No current location, occupation, or public statement from Davis is documented in the sources available. The latest career account is the 2024 PEOPLE retrospective, and it describes past work rather than present activity. That leaves a gap of more than two years before this article’s date, and it should be read as a gap in the record, not evidence that he has left public life for good or that he is still working in entertainment.

Career after the film, as reported
The 2024 retrospective is the main secondary source for Davis’s career after 1994. Its account, which we have not been able to check against primary production records, includes the following:
- 1994, Angels in the Outfield: Davis plays J.P., Roger’s friend. The retrospective calls the film his big-screen debut.
- Television guest work: The retrospective reports guest roles on Sister, Sister and 7th Heaven.
- Early 2000s: The retrospective says he stepped away from the spotlight during this period. It does not give a reason.
- 2015, parody: The retrospective reports that he appeared in a parody of the film that year.
IMDb’s database also lists two other titles under his name: Mad City (1997) and Ladies Like Us (2013). A database credit shows that a title is attached to a name, but it does not describe the person’s role, timeline, or current status, so these entries should be treated as context rather than a full biography.

A same-name profile you may find online
A April 3, 2023 profile from Memphis Health and Fitness describes a 53-year-old pharmacist and runner named Milton Davis Jr., gives Christ Community Health Services as his employer, and names Jackson, Tennessee as his hometown. The profile does not mention the film or the entertainment industry, and we found nothing that ties that person to the former actor. Do not describe the pharmacist as the actor, and do not attribute the profile’s first-person quotes to him.
Film facts the sources can support
The headline promises nine facts about Angels in the Outfield. The sources reviewed do not establish nine separate, well-documented trivia items, and several commonly repeated production anecdotes have no supporting citation. The points below are the ones the reporting does support, each with its source and limits.
Rank #2
- Factory sealed DVD
- Release year: 1994.
- Box office: The 2024 Yahoo/PEOPLE retrospective reports that the film made $50 million at the box office. The report does not say whether that figure is domestic or worldwide.
- Streaming: The same 2024 retrospective says the film had begun streaming on Disney+ by that year. That is a dated report, not a statement about current availability.
- Identity of J.P.: A separate film retrospective from Abstract Sports identifies Davis as J.P. and outlines the baseball-and-angels premise, but it adds no reliable detail about his later life.
