Love Island USA is currently filmed in Fiji. NBCUniversal confirms that Season 8 takes place there, and Peacock says the series has been based in Fiji since Season 5. Earlier seasons used other places, including California, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
Where Season 8 is filmed
NBCUniversal’s Season 8 renewal announcement says the season once again takes place in Fiji. Peacock has also published a Season 8 villa tour, which shows the set. Together these pages settle the country. They say little about the property itself.

Earlier filming locations
Peacock’s location explainer summarizes earlier seasons as filmed in California, Las Vegas and Hawaii. USA Network’s location article names two specific properties. The table below uses only what those official pages state.
| Season | Location named | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Season 1 | Villa Takali, Fiji | USA Network |
| Season 3 | Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo, Hawaii’s Big Island | USA Network |
| Season 5 onward | Fiji, the series’ base according to Peacock | Peacock |
| Other seasons | Not stated season by season; Peacock lists California, Las Vegas and Hawaii as earlier locations | Peacock |
Season 1 at Villa Takali means Fiji was not only a recent setting. Peacock’s framing of Fiji as the base since Season 5 is a statement about the series’ current home, not proof that no other season used Fiji. The official pages do not give a complete list of properties for every season, so the table should not be extended to seasons it does not name.

Why the production is based in Fiji
Peacock’s production timing explainer says Fiji’s time difference from Eastern Time gives the production time to edit footage and prepare episodes for release. This is the network’s own account of the schedule, not an independent measurement of how production works day to day.
What the official sources do not establish
- Public access. The official pages confirm Fiji and show the villa on video. They do not say the property is open to visitors or available to book.
- Exact location. No official source given here provides a street address or a specific place within Fiji for the current villa.
- Full property history. The sources name only the seasons listed in the table above.
Where to watch
Love Island USA is a Peacock Original. The Peacock series page lists the episodes. Streaming catalogs change, so check that page for current availability before you watch.
