Jubal Valentine does not appear in Season 7, Episode 6, “Perfect,” which CBS dated to Dec. 3, 2024. That single-episode absence is not an exit. CBS still lists Jeremy Sisto as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, and the season’s later episode “Redoubt” gives Jubal a central storyline.
What “Perfect” covers
The official CBS synopsis for “Perfect” describes a team hunting a serial killer after several women with the same physical description are found around the city. It runs alongside Maggie’s effort to balance guardianship of Ella with her FBI work. Jubal is not mentioned in that synopsis, which is the only official episode-level description available, and it does not publish a full episode-specific cast list for this installment.

Where Jubal appears around Episode 6
Looking at the episodes on either side gives a clearer picture of why viewers notice his absence:
- Episode 5, “Pledges”: Jubal is shown as concerned when Tyler is detained.
- Episode 6, “Perfect”: the focus shifts to the killer investigation and to Maggie. Jubal does not feature.
- Episode 10, “Redoubt”: the plot centers on Jubal and his longtime confidential informant, according to CBS’s season guide.
Did Jeremy Sisto leave FBI?
No. CBS’s official FBI page continues to identify Sisto as Jubal Valentine, and the season guide’s description of “Redoubt” confirms that the character remains part of the story. The CBS show page, checked October 8, 2026, lists the ninth-season premiere as October 5, 2026, so that date is the most current official reference for the series’ status.

A secondary episode guide reports that Sisto had appeared in every FBI episode from the series premiere through “Perfect,” which it identifies as his first missed installment. That is third-party reporting rather than a CBS cast announcement, so treat it as a description of one episode’s cast rather than evidence of a departure.
How to check a character’s status in a given episode
- Start with the official CBS episode synopsis, which describes the plot but does not list every cast member.
- Check the CBS show page for the current cast and the upcoming season premiere date.
- Read later episodes that name the character’s storyline. A character who returns with a major arc is still part of the series, even after a single absence.
- Treat a missing name in one secondary summary as a single-episode observation, not a cast change.
Where to watch “Perfect”
Paramount+ lists “Perfect” as a Season 7 episode of FBI, and CBS identifies Paramount+ as a streaming home for the series. Availability depends on your country and subscription plan, so check your local Paramount+ listing for the current status of Season 7 before you start watching.
