For Disney–Fortnite collaboration announcements, start with Fortnite News and Epic Games’ official Fortnite channels. Epic directs players to those sources for season information and says official Fortnite promotions are advertised through official channels. Treat each announcement as the authority for dates and participation details, then check Epic’s current support pages before linking accounts or relying on an offer.
Where to look for announcements
- Fortnite News: Epic’s official news site is the clearest place to find announcements about new Fortnite experiences and collaborations.
- Official Fortnite channels: Epic’s support guidance points players to Fortnite’s official channels for season information and says promotions are advertised through them. Check that an account is official before trusting a promotion; do not assume an unsolicited message or third-party post is genuine. Once you find a post, open the linked announcement for the details: when an experience begins, whether it is in-game or tied to a Disney service or attraction, and what players or guests must do to participate. Epic’s season-information support page also directs players to Fortnite News and official channels.
What the Disney–Fortnite partnership has included
On February 7, 2024, Epic Games and The Walt Disney Company announced a multiyear collaboration to create an open, persistent social universe connected to Fortnite. Epic described plans to bring together stories and experiences from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar, powered by Unreal Engine. The announcement also described a planned $1.5 billion equity investment by Disney in Epic, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Epic said at the time that Fortnite had more than 100 million active players and creators. That is a dated figure from the 2024 announcement, not a current audience estimate.

Together, the examples show why it is worth opening the announcement rather than relying on a headline: a collaboration might involve an in-game event, a connection to a Disney release, or a Disney Parks attraction, and each can have different participation rules.

Some offers require linking a MyDisney account with an Epic Games account. Epic’s support guidance says linking is limited to supported locations and eligible accounts, and requires data-sharing consent on both sides. Read Epic’s current MyDisney account-linking instructions before proceeding. Check the offer’s dates and terms as well; an old announcement does not establish that a reward or event is still active.
