Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart marked their first relationship anniversary with dinner at Mimi’s in Coogee, Sydney, in April 2025. The celebration was reported at the time through media coverage of Nicodemou’s Instagram post; the reports do not establish the exact date of the dinner.
Where the couple celebrated
PerthNow reported on 7 April 2025 that the Home and Away stars had celebrated “at the weekend” at Mimi’s. A later 7NEWS report identified the restaurant as being in Coogee. Nicodemou shared photos from the occasion on Instagram with the caption “Just perfect”.
PerthNow described a meal of oysters and caviar with champagne. It reported that Nicodemou wore a red leather strapless mini dress and Stewart a neutral suit. These details come from coverage of the dinner and the couple’s social post, rather than a separately confirmed account of the occasion. PerthNow’s 7 April 2025 report and 7NEWS’ anniversary coverage, published 19 April and updated 22 April 2025 both described the milestone as one year together.
What Nicodemou said about the year together
Speaking to Stellar, as quoted by 7NEWS, Nicodemou said: “It’s been a really lovely year together,” She also explained why she chose to share the moment publicly: “I don’t like to post a lot of stuff about us online but, at the same time, I’m really proud of the last year we’ve had, and wanted to share that.”

How the real-life milestone differs from their characters’ story
Nicodemou plays Leah Patterson-Baker and Stewart plays Justin Morgan on Home and Away. Their characters married in 2024, before the actors’ reported first relationship anniversary in April 2025. The television wedding is a fictional storyline; the anniversary dinner was a real-life event reported at Mimi’s in Coogee.
Relationship update: the couple were reported engaged in 2026
In a later development, 7NEWS reported on 15 February 2026 that Nicodemou and Stewart had announced their engagement. The report placed Stewart’s proposal at Goldstein Reserve, near Coogee Beach in Sydney’s east, over Valentine’s weekend. Nicodemou has played Leah since 2000, while Stewart joined Home and Away in 2016, according to the same report. 7NEWS’ engagement report does not establish a wedding date.
