Law Roach said Zendaya and Tom Holland had not yet had an official wedding ceremony and that it would happen after Zendaya’s Dune press tour. He did not give a date, and he added that he could be lying again. His September 2026 remarks conflict with earlier statements from Roach and Holland, so they are an attributed timing clue—not confirmation of a wedding plan.
What Law Roach said about the wedding timing
At the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 14, 2026, Variety asked Roach about his earlier claim that the couple had already married. He replied, “I actually lied (before). She hasn’t married. They haven’t had an official ceremony yet.” Asked when it would happen, he said, “It’s gonna happen after the ‘Dune’ press tour.” When asked whether he might be misleading people again, he answered, “I could (be lying again.)” Variety’s Emmy red-carpet interview is the source for those remarks.
Did Roach reveal a wedding date?
No. “After the ‘Dune’ press tour” is the only timing clue he offered. He did not specify a day, month, venue, or when the tour would end. Variety India reported that Dune: Part Three was scheduled to open on December 18, 2026, but a film’s release date does not establish the press tour’s schedule or the wedding’s timing.
Why the public statements conflict
The available accounts do not provide a consistent, independently verified answer about the couple’s marital status. Roach first said in March that the wedding had already happened; Holland’s June comment appeared to confirm it; then Roach said in September that there had been no official ceremony while also acknowledging he might be lying again.

| When and who | What was said | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| March 2026: Law Roach, speaking to Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards | “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” | Roach made an earlier claim that the wedding had taken place. Access Hollywood’s interview records the remark. |
| June 2026: Tom Holland, in an Esquire interview | Asked whether he had to tell relatives AI wedding images were not real, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there,” then added, “That’s all you’ll get on that.” | The Associated Press described the answer as an apparent confirmation, but Holland did not elaborate. The AP report recounts the exchange. |
| September 14, 2026: Law Roach at the Emmy Awards | He said there had been no official ceremony, placed it after the Dune press tour, and said he could be lying again. | His account conflicts with both his March claim and the apparent confirmation in Holland’s June answer. Variety’s interview records the latest remarks. |
What can—and cannot—be concluded
- Roach’s latest reported statement points to a possible wedding after Zendaya’s Dune press tour, but he gave no calendar date.
- The September remarks are not firm confirmation of future plans: Roach explicitly said he could be lying again.
- Holland’s June response sounded like a confirmation to the AP, but it does not resolve the contradiction with Roach’s later account.
- The statements do not independently establish the couple’s legal marital status or whether a private event took place.
Are the viral wedding images real?
Roach said the circulating wedding images were fake. They should not be treated as photographs of a confirmed ceremony or as evidence of when one happened. Variety’s report includes his response about the images.
