The continuation fans usually mean by “Panty and Stocking season 2” has already premiered. It is titled New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, and its launch was scheduled for July 2025 in Japan, with the official English site giving July 9, 2025 as the streaming start date. Because the Japanese schedule uses a late-night clock, the date can read differently depending on the source, so the details below separate each one.
Release dates by source
Two official sources give the launch date, and they describe it in different ways. KADOKAWA’s Japanese announcement, published June 16, 2025, set the broadcast and streaming start for July 9 at 25:00. In Japanese broadcast notation, 25:00 means 1:00 a.m. on the following calendar day, so the same moment is July 10, 2025 at 1:00 a.m. on a conventional clock. The official English site, by contrast, says the series would start streaming on July 9, 2025. Both are accurate descriptions of their own schedules, so cite each one as its source gives it.
| Release point | Date and time as listed | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Japan broadcast and streaming start | July 9, 2025 at 25:00 (July 10, 2025, 1:00 a.m. conventional clock) | KADOKAWA announcement, June 16, 2025 |
| Tokyo MX and BS NTV | Wednesday 25:00 slot, beginning with the premiere | KADOKAWA announcement, June 16, 2025 |
| AT-X original version | Beginning July 15, 2025 | KADOKAWA announcement, June 16, 2025 |
| Prime Video (Japan) | July 10, 2025, 1:00 a.m. | KADOKAWA announcement, June 16, 2025 |
| English-language streaming | Starts July 9, 2025 | Official English site |
Which version you will see
The Japanese announcement describes two editions. The terrestrial broadcasters were slated to air a CENSORED version, while AT-X was to carry the original version. For streaming, KADOKAWA said both versions were planned but that the versions available would depend on the service. These are launch plans, not a permanent catalogue. If the edition matters to you, check the current listing on the platform you plan to use rather than relying on the 2025 announcement.
Where to watch
Prime Video was named at launch as the streaming service for the Japanese release, with the simultaneous availability noted above. That is a historical launch detail. Whether the series is available in your country, and on which service, depends on current licensing, which the launch materials do not establish. Search the title in your region’s store before assuming access.

The official notices cited here cover only the 2025 continuation. They do not announce a further season or a date for one, so no release window for another season should be assumed. For the question as asked, the answer is the July 2025 premiere described above.
