How to watch it
- Open the Disney+ app or visit DisneyPlus.com.
- Search for Moana 2.
- Select the listing for the 2024 animated film, rather than the separate live-action project.
- Choose Play if the title is included in your local Disney+ catalog.
You will need an active Disney+ subscription. The exact catalog page, language options and availability can vary by country, so a title appearing in one region does not guarantee that it will be presented identically in another.

Do not confuse it with the live-action Moana
The Disney+ title available now is the animated sequel Moana 2. It is not the upcoming live-action remake. Disney has described the live-action Moana as a separate film planned for a 2026 theatrical release, so it is not the same project and does not share the sequel’s streaming date.

Why are some pages still saying there is no release date?
Older articles and search results were written before Disney announced the streaming launch. Those pages may still say that Moana 2 was awaiting a Disney+ date, but that information is obsolete. The confirmed date was March 12, 2025, and the film is now listed in the Disney+ catalog.
