For the 2025–26 season, Subi Night Market opened first, on September 20, 2025, followed by Twilight Hawkers Market on October 3 and Scarborough Sunset Markets on November 6. The dates below are historical: they describe the season that ran into 2026, not a confirmed schedule for 2026–27.
2025–26 opening dates and schedules
The three markets ran on different nights at locations around Perth. RAC WA’s guide, updated in October 2025, lists the season dates, regular hours and offerings in the comparison below.

Subi Night Market: Saturdays in Subiaco
Subi’s season started on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Market Square Park and continued through April 25, 2026. Its mix paired food representing more than 40 international flavours with vintage clothing and artwork stalls. The flavour count describes the food offer, not the number of vendors.

Twilight began on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Forrest Place. Its Friday hours ran later than Subi’s, from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, with global street food and live local music.
Scarborough Sunset Markets: Thursdays by the beach
Scarborough opened on Thursday, November 6, 2025, on The Esplanade at Scarborough Beach. Its season was scheduled to run the latest of the three, ending May 28, 2026, with food trucks, artisan pop-ups and live performers.

What changed at Scarborough
For the 2025–26 season, event manager Kate MacKinnon said Scarborough was moving toward a more relaxed atmosphere, replacing the amphitheatre DJ with live acoustic music. She summed up the intended mood as: “’Thursdays is for chill’ is sort of what we’re going for at Scarborough.” The change concerned the musical programming and atmosphere; it does not establish that every part of the event’s format changed.
Why vendors value the summer season
Food-truck owner and chef Ivan Munerato, of Pasta e Fagioli, described the appeal as more than food: “It’s not just about the event in itself. It’s just about the vibes and the families, the people, the music, and obviously the food.” Just Dumplings operator Jane Liang said summer weather made markets busier, while the winter break gave her time with family. These are the vendors’ accounts of their experience, not attendance measurements.
