When did Game of Thrones: Kingsroad release?
Netmarble announced on April 29, 2025, that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was scheduled to launch on May 21, 2025. On May 21, Netmarble confirmed the game was available on mobile and PC. The April announcement described the initial release as covering the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East, with timing for Asia to be announced later. Netmarble’s April 29 announcement states: “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set to launch across various territories in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East.”
Those territories describe the coverage named in the 2025 announcement; they do not establish current availability in every country. Netmarble did not give a specific launch time in that announcement.
What is the later May 2026 schedule?
An official English forum notice dated April 17, 2026 lists a PC pre-launch for May 14 and a mobile grand launch for May 21, 2026. It says the dates are UTC, but does not identify the territory or explain how the schedule relates to the 2025 launch. Treat it as a separate schedule rather than a correction to, or replacement for, the confirmed May 2025 release. The notice also says detailed launch timing would be provided later. Which platforms were included?
The 2025 announcements covered PC and mobile. Netmarble named Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows Launcher as PC channels; mobile pre-registration was offered through the App Store and Google Play. Its May 21 launch announcement said the game was available on mobile and PC. The 2026 schedule notice likewise names PC and mobile platforms, but does not specify territories.
What kind of game is Kingsroad?
Netmarble describes Game of Thrones: Kingsroad as an officially licensed action-adventure RPG inspired by George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. Players create a character who becomes heir to House Tyre, and the announcement names three playable classes: Knight, Sellsword and Assassin. The launch announcement places the story during the latter half of season four of the HBO series. Netmarble’s May 21 launch announcement has the game and story details.
