Marilu Henner joins the cast
Hallmark announced on September 21, 2026 that Marilu Henner will play Bernice “Birdie” Grant, Nathan’s mother, in at least two season 14 episodes.
Story setup
Hallmark says the season’s story preparation follows Elizabeth and Nathan’s engagement in the season 13 finale, with their wedding preparations forming part of Birdie’s arrival. The network has not published a full season 14 synopsis in the pages cited here, so more detailed plot claims would be premature.
