Could it be a different piece of music?
The album includes other music as well as “Gortoz A Ran.” If what you remember is instrumental, you may be thinking of one of the score cues credited to Hans Zimmer, such as “Hunger,” “Chant,” “Mogadishu Blues,” “Bakara,” or “Leave No. Man Behind.” The album also lists “Barra Barra” by Rachid Taha. The soundtrack listing does not identify which cue plays in a scene described only this way.
Is the Greta Bradman version the same recording?
No. Greta Bradman and Chong Lim Orchestra recorded a separate version titled “Gortoz a Ran (Theme from ‘Black Hawk Down’),” released August 26, 2011. It is a later cover/version, distinct from the soundtrack recording credited to Denez Prigent and Lisa Gerrard. The 2011 recording listing identifies that version.

How can you confirm the cue you heard?
Compare the remembered moment with the track list and listen for whether it is a vocal song or an instrumental passage. A scene description, lyric fragment, timecode, or audio clip would help distinguish “Gortoz A Ran” from another song or score cue.
