The notable new releases for the U.S. theatrical weekend of November 1–3, 2024 were Robert Zemeckis’ Here, listed that Friday by Sony Pictures Releasing, and Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2, a limited Warner Bros. Pictures release. The weekend also included A Real Pain and Absolution. This is a historical roundup. It describes a selection of that weekend’s releases, not a complete national schedule, and it does not list films opening today.
Which weekend this covers
“This weekend” here means Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3, 2024. The selection draws on a dated weekend guide published by Hollywood.com on October 29, 2024, and on Box Office Mojo’s domestic release calendar for November 1, 2024. Both are contemporaneous listings, so the picture they give is of that weekend only.
Local showtimes for that weekend are not covered. Theater-by-theater schedules were not established for this article, and historical listings cannot be used to book seats.

The two headline releases
Here
Here is Robert Zemeckis’ film. AFI named it the centerpiece screening of AFI FEST 2024 on October 25, 2024, a week before its November 1 U.S. theatrical listing. Festival centerpiece status signals a prominent place in the festival’s programming. It does not by itself say how widely the film opened. The Box Office Mojo calendar lists Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, and Kelly Reilly in its cast listing, and distribution through Sony Pictures Releasing.
If you are deciding between the two headline films, Here is the one with a festival run behind it and a larger cast listed in the calendar. Its runtime was not stated in the listings used here.

Juror #2
Juror #2 is the title’s correct spelling; the film is not called “Juror No. 2.” Box Office Mojo lists it for November 1, 2024 as a limited release from Warner Bros. Pictures, categorized as crime, drama, mystery, and thriller, with a runtime of 1 hour 54 minutes. Clint Eastwood directed from a screenplay by Jonathan Abrams.
Warner Bros. describes the premise through its pressroom, without attributing the wording to a named individual. Nicholas Hoult plays Justin Kemp, a family man serving on the jury in a high-profile murder trial, who faces a moral dilemma that could sway the verdict. AFI’s September 12, 2024 announcement places the film in a world-premiere context, and it confirms Warner Bros. as distributor.

Kiefer Sutherland’s official site lists a Blu-ray and DVD release from February 4, 2025, with availability varying by region.

The Piano Lesson is not part of the November 1 list
Netflix Tudum’s August 21, 2024 announcement said The Piano Lesson would play in select theaters in November and arrive on Netflix on November 22, 2024. Because the November theater run and the streaming date are separate, it should not be counted among the November 1 openings.

- Limited release: Fewer theaters carry the film, often only in larger cities or at specialty venues. Juror #2 was a limited release, so a theater near you may not show it.
- Festival or premiere listing: A festival slot, such as Here‘s AFI FEST centerpiece, says the film was shown to festival audiences. It does not say how many theaters later played it.
- Select theaters, then streaming: The Piano Lesson was scheduled for select theaters before its Netflix release. Its theatrical run was never a broad national opening in these listings.
To check whether a film plays near you now, search the film title with your city on a current showtime service, then confirm the times on the theater’s own website. Do not rely on a historical listing for showtimes.
