Her later screen credits include the film Horse Girl and the Apple TV+ series Dear Edward. TVLine also identifies By Design as her most recent film and reports that it was released in early 2026. An earlier Joyn cast update had anticipated a 2025 release, but TVLine’s later account gives the more current timing (Joyn).
Joyn also lists the 2024 short film Land of the Free among her credits. Together, these projects show continued work across formats, even if it has not matched the visibility of a long-running network series.

Is Robin Tunney retired or focused on family?
There is no confirmation in the cited career reporting that Tunney has retired. A May 5, 2026 report by Spanish outlet AS describes her as having a lower public profile and prioritizing family life. It reports that her children were born in 2016 and 2020, but that account is the outlet’s framing—not a recent direct statement from Tunney explaining her career choices (AS).
It is therefore more accurate to say that Tunney has worked less visibly since The Mentalist than to claim she left acting or that family life explains every gap between credits.
