Lynette’s stepdaughter Kayla leaves the Scavo home after Tom discovers she fabricated an abuse accusation against Lynette. He sends Kayla to live with her maternal grandparents. The character summaries available do not give her a later on-screen update, so what happens to her after that is unknown.
Who is Kayla?
Kayla is Tom Scavo’s daughter with Nora Huntington, and therefore Lynette’s stepdaughter. After Nora dies, Kayla joins the Scavo household. Her story moves from becoming part of the family to a serious conflict with Lynette in season four.

Why does Kayla leave the Scavo home?
In the final stretch of season four, Kayla tries to undermine Lynette. Character and episode summaries describe her encouraging dangerous behavior among the Scavo boys and threatening her younger half-sister Penny. She then falsely claims Lynette physically abused her, which leads to Lynette’s arrest.
Tom eventually gets Kayla to admit that the accusation was fabricated. He sends her to live with her maternal grandparents, ending her time in the Scavo household. The plot details are described in the character summary; contemporaneous coverage also reported on the season-four storyline.

What happened to Kayla after that?
The available character summary does not report a later on-screen update about Kayla. It does not establish whether she returned, reconciled with Lynette, or what her adult life became, so those outcomes should not be assumed.

Rachel Fox portrayed Kayla. In a 2008 interview with Cleveland.com, Fox discussed the demanding season-four scenes, including a staged slap with Felicity Huffman. That contemporaneous interview is about the role and does not establish Fox’s current biography or career.
