Tracey Grimshaw’s 2024 Channel Nine project was Do You Want to Live Forever?, a documentary-style series she co-hosted with Dr Nick Coatsworth. It followed four pairs of Australians taking part in medically supervised trials and health interventions focused on longevity and quality of life. Nine premiered the series on Channel 9 and 9Now on 17 June 2024 at 7:30pm.
What was the show about?
Do You Want to Live Forever? explored questions such as whether people can stay younger for longer and what they might do to live healthier lives. Its format followed four pairs of everyday Australians through medically supervised trials and health interventions. Nine described the subject as improving quality of life and addressing issues that might lead to premature death.
That premise is not evidence that any intervention extends life. The official announcements and coverage establish the programme’s format, but do not establish trial outcomes proving life extension.
Who hosted and made it?
Journalist Tracy Grimshaw co-hosted the series with Dr Nick Coatsworth. Nine announced the project on 19 January 2024, initially describing it as a new project due later that year. Its announcement named Lune Media as the production company and David Galloway, Ashley Davies and Leonie Lowe as executive producers.

Nine’s announcement spells the presenter’s name “Tracy,” while the supplied topic uses “Tracey.”
When did it premiere?
Nine’s 9Now coverage gave the premiere date as Monday 17 June 2024 at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now. That is the original broadcast and streaming premiere information; it does not confirm whether the series is currently available in 9Now’s catalogue.

Why did Grimshaw return to television?
Grimshaw left A Current Affair at the end of 2022 after 17 years as its host. In a later 9Now interview, she said she had wanted time away from work, but the project’s subject drew her back. She also described herself as a “medical nerd” interested in research. Those comments explain her personal interest in the series; they are not a claim that its interventions have been proven to extend life.

The programme’s focus is longevity and quality of life, but Nine’s available official material does not establish that the series endorses a purchasable longevity product. Nor does it provide evidence that viewers can live forever or that the interventions shown increase lifespan. It is best understood as a television exploration of the topic, not as proof of a medical result or a recommendation to buy a health product.
