How did the makeover relate to the separation?
The timing explains the headline’s framing, but it does not establish a connection between the separation and the barber visit. Jackman and Furness had announced their separation in September 2023; the makeover report offered no explanation from Jackman for his appearance change.
In a joint statement reproduced in PerthNow’s December 30, 2023 coverage, they wrote: “Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.” The statement also said their family “has been and always will be our highest priority” and asked for respect for their privacy. It did not mention the makeover.
