“The reunion always has, I believe, closure for a lot of people, or stirs things up for other people,” Lachey told PEOPLE. She also called it “an amazing opportunity for all of our season 6 friends to say their side of the story, what we didn’t see, what we didn’t feel, what we didn’t know.” These were her expectations for the special, not a guarantee that every cast member would find closure.
What was confirmed about the reunion?
Netflix announced that Nick and Vanessa Lachey would host the season 6 reunion, filmed in front of a live audience and featuring surprise guests. It premiered Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Netflix’s season 6 page lists those event details. The season itself premiered February 14, 2024, with the Lacheys as hosts, according to Netflix’s announcement.

How did Lachey describe bringing the cast back together?
Speaking about the attention around the reunion and the returning cast, Lachey said, “There’s a lot of eyes on this one. And so it was really beautiful to bring the family back together.” She also said the production was “not out to have any ‘gotcha’ moments.” That was Lachey’s description of the production’s intent, rather than a separately stated policy.

Lachey’s comments were an advance tease, not a current preview: the special premiered in 2024. Netflix’s March 15, 2024 recap confirms that it covered the season’s relationships and controversies.
