Triple H praised Seth Rollins for having a backup plan—and Becky Lynch for being the decisive “ace up his sleeve”—after she helped Rollins retain the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025. WWE’s official results document the match finish; the remarks below are a secondary report’s transcription of Triple H’s post-show comments, not an official transcript.
How Becky Lynch helped Seth Rollins win
At Paris La Défense Arena on August 31, 2025, Rollins defended the World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal 4-Way against CM Punk, Jey Uso and LA Knight. WWE’s official results say a masked figure appeared during the closing sequence, low-blowed Punk and was revealed as Rollins’s wife, Becky Lynch, then the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
With Punk vulnerable, Rollins hit him with a Stomp onto a steel chair and won the match. The result was a title defense for Rollins, with Lynch’s interference creating the opening for the decisive move.
Triple H’s reported reaction
A September 1, 2025 report by eWrestling transcribed WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque praising Rollins’s ability to find a way to win when his other options appeared exhausted. He described Lynch as an “ace up his sleeve” and credited her role in putting Rollins over the top.

The report’s transcription reads:
“What’s that saying? ‘Behind every great man is a greater woman.’ That has been my life, right? For me, and I’ve had that play out in my career. For Seth Rollins, just when you think all his cards are on the table and he’s got nothing left. He’s by himself, he is left along. No Heyman, no Bron Breakker, no Bronson Reed, he’s by himself. He’s always got an ace up his sleeve. And what better ace than his legendary wife to come out here and put him over the top? I would imagine CM Punk is gonna want to have a conversation about that, but kudos to Seth Rollins for always finding a way… a wise man said along time ago, ‘Always have a plan b.’ Seth Rollins has an A, a B, a C, a D, he’s got ’em all.”
This is the wording eWrestling reported, including apparent transcription errors; it should not be treated as a verified official transcript. The central point is clear in the report: Levesque praised Rollins’s contingency planning and Lynch’s decisive intervention.
