| Haunted Hotel, season 2 | Friday, October 9 | The adult animated comedy returns, with Katherine and her family facing more paranormal trouble at their hotel. | Animated comedy |
| Is It Cake? Halloween, season 2 | Friday, October 9 | Cake artists make Halloween-themed creations designed to fool the judges. | A lighter seasonal competition |
What to watch by mood
For suspense and horror
Pick Below for a creature-centered, serialized thriller, or The Boogeyman for a supernatural horror film rooted in a family’s grief. Netflix Tudum’s October guide describes Below as a six-episode thriller; its premise makes it the more extended watch of the two.
For documentaries
Lorne looks at the making of a lasting comedy institution through interviews and archival footage. Who Is Martin Mull? turns to the life and creative pursuits of the comedian and artist. Both are documentary picks, but their subjects differ: one centers on a television institution, the other on an individual performer.
