BGR reported on April 8, 2024, that Happy Gilmore had reached the service’s second-most-watched movie position that Monday morning. That is a historical chart report, not a current ranking or proof that the film remains available. Netflix’s official page lists Happy Gilmore 2 in the sports and comedy categories; Netflix announced that the sequel released only on Netflix on July 25, 2025. The sequel’s release does not establish the original film’s present availability.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
For a change of sporting arena without leaving behind a rivalry-driven comedy, try this NASCAR feature. BGR describes Will Ferrell as racing star Ricky Bobby, whose position is challenged by Jean Girard, a French Formula One driver. The central setup makes it the motorsport pick among the three.
The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience
This is the outlier in both sport and format: a 2019 Netflix comedy special by The Lonely Island, rather than a conventional feature film. It centers on Oakland Athletics players Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire and takes the form of a music-led, extended-video-style comedy. Choose it for a baseball parody with a deliberately unusual presentation. Its original Netflix association does not confirm current catalog availability.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers
This 2017 sequel shifts the action to hockey. BGR identifies Seann William Scott as Doug “The Thug” Glatt and Jay Baruchel as the film’s director; Baruchel co-wrote the original Goon with Evan Goldberg. It is the hockey-team option for viewers who want a sports setting built around a team and its enforcer.
