Keep the two questions separate: whether a film screening is listed, and whether a particular screening is in IMAX. A result in another format can be a useful alternative, but it does not answer the IMAX question. Conversely, an empty IMAX-filtered search only reports what that search returned for its selected location and dates; it does not establish that there are no screenings in other formats or markets.

Expand the nearby-theatre search

Check the cinema’s own listing and revisit it
Use the local exhibitor’s page to confirm the exact showtime and whether tickets are on sale. Exhibitors publish schedules on different cadences. Landmark says it updates online showtimes each Wednesday morning for the upcoming Friday-through-Thursday week. That gives Canadian Landmark customers a useful time to check again, but it is not a schedule policy for every cinema. If a screening week is approaching and the local listing remains empty, revisit the exhibitor’s page rather than assuming another cinema follows Landmark’s timetable.
Use the official film page to find location-dependent listings, then use the cinema’s own page to check the details that matter for a purchase. A listing can answer whether that venue currently offers a date and time; the current ticket page is needed to see if that showing is on sale and seats are available. Do not treat a schedule update policy from one exhibitor as a guarantee that another venue will publish at the same time.

Confirm the final ticket details before paying
Check that the selected date and time are correct, the venue is the one you intend to visit, and the format says IMAX if that is what you want.
