Tim Cook’s reported La Quinta home is a nearly 10,000-square-foot property in the Madison Club, with an infinity pool, mountain views and extensive indoor-outdoor features described in media reports. The “$10M” shorthand is not a settled sale price: AppleInsider reported that public records indicated $9.1 million, while Multiple Listing Network data suggested $10.1 million; the reported asking price was $11.5 million.
Where is the reported home?
The property was reported in the Madison Club, a private residential community in La Quinta, Riverside County, in Southern California. AppleInsider described the community as developed by Discovery Land Company and featuring a Tom Fazio-designed golf course. Those are media descriptions, not confirmation of current amenities or membership access. AppleInsider’s 2021 report provides the community context.
What do reports say the house is like?
AppleInsider reported a 9,956-square-foot home with five bedrooms and six bathrooms on a 0.81-acre lot. A separate account summarized by iMore, drawing on Dirt’s reporting, described an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, views of the Santa Rosa Mountains, several firepits and floor-to-ceiling windows. It also listed an executive office, wet bar, custom billiard table and two kitchens. These are reported features; neither source presents a direct tour by Cook or an independent inspection.
Why do reports give different prices?
The available coverage does not establish one definitive transaction price. AppleInsider’s September 2021 article distinguished among three figures: public records indicated $9.1 million, Multiple Listing Network data suggested $10.1 million, and the reported asking price was $11.5 million. The figures refer to different kinds of price information, so the headline’s “$10M” is a rough shorthand rather than a verified exact sale amount.

When did the purchase happen, and is Cook still a homeowner there?
AppleInsider said the deal closed in 2018, while iMore’s 2021 summary described the purchase as taking place in 2019. The discrepancy is unresolved, so neither year should be treated as definitively established across the reports.
A 2024 Us Weekly story identified Cook as one of the Madison Club’s homeowners at that time. It does not verify his ownership or residence as of October 2026.
