Marvel’s official teaser introduced a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic take on the Fantastic Four—and a story that puts the heroes’ family bond alongside their fight to protect Earth. The film opened in US theaters on July 25, 2025, so the teaser is now an early look at a movie already released.
When did the ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ trailer come out?
Marvel Entertainment published the teaser on February 4, 2025, under the title The Fantastic Four: First Steps | Official Teaser | Only in Theaters July 25. What does the first look establish about the film?
Disney describes the movie’s setting as a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world and calls the team Marvel’s First Family. That premise gives the film a distinct period-inflected visual frame while centering the relationships among its four heroes. The official synopsis presents them as facing a major threat while balancing heroism with their family bond.
