The report named Gravity Falls and The Owl House among the represented series. Those totals and document descriptions are io9’s reporting; the files were not independently authenticated here.
What io9 said was in the leak
According to io9’s April 28, 2024 report, an unidentified person leaked internal Disney TV-animation material spanning Disney Channel and Disney XD, with documents dating back as far as the mid-2000s. The publication reported more than 20 pilots and 40 show bibles. These are io9’s counts, not independently verified totals.

The report described the pilots as including projects that had been pitched but never advanced. It characterized show bibles as documents laying out a series’ tone, characters and possible future seasons. The article did not establish that the leaked material was complete or that every document had been authenticated.
Which shows did the report name?
io9 said the materials included bibles for Gravity Falls and The Owl House, as well as Super Monkey Team HyperForce Go! and American Dragon: Jake Long. It also described a DuckTales bible that devoted multiple pages to each principal character’s interests, skills and relationships.

The examples suggest why development documents can interest fans and television historians: a bible can organize a show’s characters and relationships, while a pilot or pitch can preserve an early version of an idea. But the report is not the same as public access to verified, official materials; it describes leaked internal files.

For Gravity Falls, io9 said most of the pitched episode ideas it discussed were not produced, although parts of some concepts were reworked into aired episodes. The report pointed to Dipper’s golf war with Lil’ Gideon as an example. That connection is a detail reported by io9, not an independently confirmed account of the underlying development documents.
