Netflix’s Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom revisits Odom’s NBA fame, his marriage to Khloé Kardashian and the 2015 medical emergency at a Nevada brothel. The film includes interviews with Odom, Kardashian and the former manager of the Love Ranch. Their recollections are part of the documentary’s account, not independent confirmation of every detail.
What is the Lamar Odom documentary about?
Netflix describes the documentary as a look back at Odom’s rise to NBA fame, his marriage to Kardashian and a near-fatal overdose in Nevada. Its synopsis says Odom was found unresponsive at the Love Ranch outside Las Vegas in 2015, and that the film revisits the events and personal pressures leading up to that moment. Netflix lists interviews with Odom, Kardashian and the former Love Ranch manager.
The film therefore places a public relationship alongside a medical crisis and the pressures surrounding Odom’s life at the time. Netflix’s synopsis establishes the documentary’s subject and interviewees; it does not, by itself, verify each participant’s account of private events.
How does the film frame Odom and Kardashian’s marriage?
The documentary connects the marriage to the wider story of Odom’s career and the events preceding his 2015 overdose. In recollections covered by El País on April 1, 2026, Kardashian described Odom’s addiction, her efforts to keep it from the press, and her support for him after the overdose. The report says she recounted helping with medical decisions and his care during recovery. Those are Kardashian’s recollections as presented in the film and reported by El País.
