My Hero Academia has continued with new franchise activity since its manga ended, but the available official announcements do not verify that five projects were revealed together. The manga’s final issue was scheduled for August 5, 2024; later anime, publishing and home-video items were announced separately.
When did the My Hero Academia manga end?
ORICON reported on June 24, 2024, that the manga would conclude in the combined Weekly Shonen Jump issue 36/37, scheduled for release on August 5, 2024. The series began in July 2014 and ran for ten years, according to ORICON’s report.
Were five new projects announced together after the conclusion?
The available official announcements do not establish a single post-ending announcement naming five new projects. Without the originating announcement or a verified list, describing these developments as a five-project slate would combine separate items and dates into a claim the sources do not support.
What later My Hero Academia activity is confirmed?
Official sources document subsequent franchise activity, but each item has its own announcement date and format. The distinctions matter: a scheduled final anime season, a publication release notice, a video release and a later short-anime plan are not evidence of one coordinated five-project announcement.

Final Season anime
The official anime site announced the TV anime Final Season for 2025 on October 12, 2024. That announcement came after the manga’s scheduled final issue, but it does not identify the season as one part of a five-project slate. Read the official anime announcement.
Related publications
On February 21, 2025, Shonen Jump announced a June 4, 2025 release date for related publications. The notice establishes that date for those publications, not a broader post-ending package. See the Shonen Jump notice.
Later short anime and video listings
Shueisha Books announced on May 7, 2026 that a short anime adaptation, I am a hero too, was planned. Shonen Jump’s official series page also lists a 2026 short story and a Final Season Blu-ray/DVD Vol. 2 release notice. These are separately listed developments; the sources do not place them in a five-project announcement made after the manga ended. See Shueisha Books’ announcement and Shonen Jump’s series page.
