The contemporaneous reports lay out a timeline involving an engagement, a pregnancy and McLoughlin’s meeting with Lambert, but they do not establish that he was unfaithful.
Who accused Brendan McLoughlin of cheating?
Carol Bruno’s named allegation
In a February 19, 2019 report, Us Weekly quoted Carol Bruno, Jackie Bruno’s mother, saying: “She was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant.” That is Bruno’s allegation about her daughter’s relationship; the report does not independently determine whether it was true. The anonymous source quoted by PEOPLE
Also on February 19, PEOPLE attributed the phrase “a history of cheating” and the claim of “overlap” between McLoughlin’s relationship with Kaihla Rettinger and his relationship with Lambert to a source close to McLoughlin. The source was not named. PEOPLE also said it was unclear whether McLoughlin and Rettinger were still romantically involved at Thanksgiving. A representative for Lambert had no comment, and Rettinger had no comment when reached. Read the PEOPLE report.
What was the timeline before Lambert married McLoughlin?
PEOPLE reported the following sequence in its February 2019 account. These are reported dates and events; they do not by themselves prove romantic overlap or infidelity.

What the reports establish—and what they do not
